The reduction in harmful air pollutants, such as fine particulate matter, nitrogen oxides, and sulfur oxides, as well as greenhouse gas emissions that contribute to climate change, <strong>equates to nearly $1.3 trillion in health and environmental savings<\/strong> through 2050. Gasoline- and diesel-powered vehicles emit harmful pollutants that disproportionately impact low-income communities and communities of color.
